Internet is fair but not excellent. Room has a cool kitchenette area (no stove). Clean but rather outdated decor.

Rooms are your basic, no frills hotel rooms, but they are clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was great, probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in a long time. The front desk staff was friendly and got us checked in an hour before the actual check-in time. To top it all off, you really can't beat the price

The WiFi is a little weird to get going but once it's going, it's Rock solid. The layout of the rooms is a bit weird but it has a kitchenette and the bathroom door doesn't hit your knees like in some more famous brand name hotels. The breakfast was one of the best free breakfasts there is. It's a bargain.

Heat in our room didn't work and with the wind chill it was - 38°C. Bedding is so old it's worn completely thin and is stained. Common areas had pungent smell. Ice machine smelled horrendous and had cigarette butts in it. You get a bag with a complimentary bottle of water, one of ours was opened. No elevator so if you stay here hopefully you're able bodied and not elderly or disabled. Complimentary breakfast was terrible, mushy pancakes cold eggs bacon and sausage. The stair case had pieces falling off, walls and framing of windows are in serious need of repair. Parking lot has approximately 10 to 15 spaces, not clear of snow. I called twice when I was trying to book and they wouldn't answer the phone, I had to use Expedia to book. I also did a similar review on Expedia.ca...it suspiciously had a rave review for the day after I checked out, makes me wonder if the staff are trying to drown out the bad reviews. I have stayed in my fair share of motels and hotels all over Canada, including the motel in White River Ontario, and this hotel was the most horrible place I've ever stayed and my standards are pretty low. I'd say you get what you pay for but it wasn't exactly a cheap stay, $160 bucks basically for shelter from the wind.
